Ramblings

It has been a long while since my last post.  Shame on me I guess.  I am still breathing in case of you were wondering.  I have learned a few interesting things in the past few weeks:

Never joke about somebody's Cankles.  That is where someone has heavy ankles.  You know, their calf done run into their ankle.  Now I have a cankle.  My leg feels pretty good.  I get around good.  I just have a goofy looking cankle.

Most people in AA, really need to be in AA.  I thought I was drinker until I met these guys.  I can't tell any of the stories.  Swore to secrecy you know.  But it is definitely worth it to attend a meeting once in a while.

Never start a book!  Writing one that is.  Being immobile a while, does weird things to your head.  The only good thing about the book is it proves that I am just as warped sober as drunk.  I still slur my typing and everything.

Not drinking is boring.  I have stopped making late night calls to discuss profound subjects.  I miss the stimulating conversations that followed the next morning.  If you miss those calls, shoot me a line.

The economy still seems to suck.  I am working on a fishing ponzi scheme.  People that join my multi-level angler's associate early can target grouper.  Those that join later can target grunts.  Oh wait, that was the marine fisheries commission's plan.

I don't have a clue how fishing is right now down here.  I guess I will just have to jump on the boat and go find out.  Now, seems like a good time.  Later.

Marathon in the Florida Keys should be your next fishing vacation destination. Join us for charter fishing, fishing guide trips or our fishing 101 so you can fish on your own with better success.

Tight lines,

Capt. Dallas

  1. Captain Dallas, I've been following your blog for a while. It's a shame you're out of commission for the moment, but I'm sure you'll soon be back to entertaining yourself, and us, with tales from the water.

I want to let you know about a new service I created for anglers called FishFeed. It's a Facebook app that is basically a combination of twitter and facebook, but specifically for anglers. You can post pics, links, videos, etc.

I want to build FishFeed into a really fun and useful service for anglers everywhere. I think someone like yourself could benefit by cross-posting links to your blog to help build your readership.

Let me know what you think and if you think it's any good please tell your fishing buddies.

    Best Regards,

    -Captain Frank

  2. Good to hear/read you're still kicking..even if it is with a cankle.
Yes, there are some of us out here that think about your posts and like reading them when you post them. Being a friend of Bill Wilson is actually a good thing glad you got to meet him. The stories are amazing and humbling at the same time. I'll check in again. Keep on keepin on.
