The Full Moon has Kicked in

Had my second trip with Joe, Jordan and they brought along Grant and Donovan. We tried for Mangrove snapper first thing. We got a few but they were biting so slow we went back to the Yellowtail spot. Even the yellowtail snapper bit slower than normal. We limited out but it took three hours and three blocks of chum.

The ballyhoo didn't cooperate so the Cero Mackerel bite was slow. Jordan did get seven with live shrimp but the size was smaller than yesterday.

Pete on the Native Sun had an offshore trip, but returned to the reef early because the bite was so slow. Looks like a couple more days of spotty fishing until the moon starts to wane.

Tarpon fishing is still pretty good at the seven mile bridge and I have been getting good reports of bonefish on the nearby flats. So there is still plenty of fishing even with the bright moon.

Marathon in the Florida Keys should be your next fishing vacation destination. Join us for charter fishing, fishing guide trips or our fishing 101 so you can fish on your own with better success.

Tight lines,

Capt. Dallas
