Cold Go Away!
This is about the coldest Dec/Jan I can remember down here. Fishing in high 50s and low 60s used to not be a problem for me. Now that I have the thin blood of the Keys it is brutal. Must be brutal for the other guys because there is not much coming in report wise. Looks like cold for the rest of the week. If any of you guys have a spare winter jump suit bring it on down!

another Christmas vacation has come and gone..like always i rented a boat and called Captain Dallas. i wouldn't do it any other way! the wind was blowing most of the week, so the conditions were less than ideal.the bite was tough to find, but Dallas always found it.As always, we caught several different species of fish.we caught yellowtail,lane, and mangrove snappers.we also caught 2 keeper grouper,Sharks,2giant morey eels and many big fish that we couldn't get in the boat.We tied or set 4 different records of Dallas'.some good and some not so good.first the good; #1,On one day we caught 22 porgys.#2,i caught the same jack 3 times.#3,i managed to hook a bottle nose dolphin.now, the not so good;#4 caught 5 birds in one day......Overall, lots of action and lots of laughs...i've always said a grat fishing trip is not made by the amount of fish you catch.A GREAT TRIP IS MADE BY THE PEOPLE ON THE BOAT.And Captain Dallas adds to that greatly..His knowledge of the keys and his sense of humor is worth his fee alone![which is quite reasonable]so thanks Dallas again, for helping to make my trip to the keys a special one for me and my family..Chicago Joe
