Now that we are getting into prime time offshore season here is a little tip for guys renting boats with composite props. First the composite props save you and the rental company big bucks. Second composite props can get over flexed by boat drivers that don't have a clue. That would be a large percentage of rental customers.

To minimize your problems here are the tips. Ease up on plane. Most of the props break when you shove it in the corner. Don't over work the prop in rough seas. As in slow down instead of trying to beat your brains out. Finally, troll. Most rental boats have range limits. If you are going to push the envelop, trolling speed only if outside the range limit.
